Bad Axe Lake
I wanted to share with you what I do. I am just getting back from a trip to the Minnesota 10,000 lakes area. I visited two. ManTrap Lake and Bad Axe Lake.
Tried several times to water ski and the longest "ski" I had was about 30 - 40 yards. I could have mastered the getting up part but there were a lot of younger guys that needed the opportunity.
I read an article in the New Yorker reporting on the rash of new books seeking to explain the ballooning waistline that belongs to America. Come to find out there are 8 other countries that have a worse obesity problem including Germany, Finland, and others.
You probably don't need to be told that obesity leads to diabetes, heart disease and arthritis and other joint problems.
While the smartest guys in the room develop theories about why, and thousands of other writers tell you how to lose those excess pounds, it's obvious that we are no longer farmers arising before dawn and working the fields all day and we are no longer hunters foraging the forest for the night's dinner, we are actually seated and inactive most of the day. We are in front of computers, we are driving cars to and fro, we don't need thousands of calories to sustain our bodily function.
We NEED hobbies. We need sports. We need action, more than looking for the remote so we don't have to get up from the couch to change the channel.
In the past, pre-modern era, calories were in short supply and when some sweetness or protein was discovered, we ate as much as we could as it could be a long time before another cache of rich calories were discovered.
Our brains desire calories. We do expend a lot of energy doing brain work. Our DNA demands that we consume a lot, enough to satiate our needs. Modern food industry in now engaged in developing "eatertainment" products that send ripples of pleasure from the sensory apparatus in our mouths to our brains.
Packaging is developed to supply you almost enough but not quite so sales are boosted because "betcha you can't eat just one." And you are back to buy another.
Designer foods become cocaine like in their nature and you find yourself in need of Food Rehab.
Entrees in restaurants are now serving 2.5 times the amount of calories as they were 40 years ago. Pick any of the scenarios above and you see the confluence of modern society that leads to overweight, unhealthy, inactive existence.
It can take several minutes for your brain to acknowledge the feeding you just indulged in, so that 30 minutes after eating you feel bloated.
Here's a couple of tips:
Drink a glass of cool water 10 minutes before starting a meal.
Stop eating before you feel full and wait awhile and see if you aren't really full before you plate is empty.
Eat 5 meals a day of 300 calories instead of three 1000 calorie meals.
Exercise several times a day. Take 3 - 5 ten minutes breaks and walk outside or bike, or row a boat. Anything to add to your calorie burning activities.
Eat fruits and vegetables in amounts so that you can eliminate 2-3 times a day. If you are not eliminating in proportion to your intake there is a blockage there and you will be accumulating extra pounds on a daily basis.

Lastly, make sure you get your Res-Q 1250, or Krill Oil daily. Anyone over 30 needs 2 capsules of CoQ10 a day. And if you are not on a 3 a day Multi, like Life's Vitality then you are missing nutrients. It's a daily regimen that will prevent many problems for arising.
Video and photos of my summer camp in NY and my trip to Minnesota will be posted on the blog once I get back to the office.
I am sitting in Dallas waiting for a flight back to Baltimore!

Healthy Cholesterol Product Questions
Since sending out the email about our new product Healthy Cholesterol, I have received many emails with questions that look like this:
Hey Garey!
What's different about this new cholestoral product from what I take, which is the Omega 1250, CoQ10 and Red Rice Yeast? And would it be more cost effective to take the new product. If so, I need to know. ...... would hate to neglect my health as it has been so good since I started using your products.
Great question.
Healthy Cholesterol is somewhat similar to the RES-Q LDL-X2 product targeting the lowering of cholesterol.
Res-Q 1250 is an overall heart health MUST --True natural anti inflammatory and really a heart attack preventative.
There is no single magic bullet to make a person completely heart healthy.
Some key supplements like 1250 and other vitamins and support aids can help along with eating right, sleeping right and getting enough physical activity. If cholesterol becomes an issue then we have several points of engagement!
*Res-Q 1250 (everyone should be taking this) Powerful Omega-3s benefit many systems in the body heart, brain, circulatory, joints... The key ingredients are EPA/DHA which almost all doctors are now aware of the fact that these ingredients cannot be manufactured by the body and therefore must be ingested. You can tell someone to eat fish or flax seed, but there are many problems with that solution. Taking 4 - 8 capsules a day, especially a dose before bed and a dose upon rising in the morning is optimum.
Res-Q LDL-X2 with Niacin or "Healthy Cholesterol" - these two products are similar in nature. Both work on the digestive system to aid in removing cholesterol from the system. These products are not invasive and do not affect the liver or energy levels or muscle systems.
Red Rice Yeast is a Chinese herb used as a healthy garnishment in chinese cooking. Think of Peking Duck. In fact, Lipitor was developped from studies done on Red Rice Yeast. Lipitor and drug class statins are synthetic. Red Rice Yeast will work in the liver to reduce the production of cholesterol, as do statins. The question then becomes why am I trying to lower my cholesterol level and how do I go about to do that? It's effective in its action and there seems to be less side effects from RRY than drug class statins. Some people will be more comfortable taking a drug class statin than RRY but others will do better on the natural dietary supplement.
CoQ10 Ubiquinol and Res-Q Cell Power - Either one of these products should be taken if you are on Red Rice Yeast or on a drug class statin. Why? Both RRY and statin drugs reduce if not obliterate the natural Co Enzyme Q 10 that is produce by the body for muscle energy. One of the most common complaints about statins is the loss of energy and muscle cramping. If you supplement with CoQ10 this can be eliminated. CoQ10 occurs naturally in the body but after age 30 there is a natural decline in the amount produced. If you want to feel like a 25 year old again, CoQ10 will help a lot. Again if you opt for RRY then please also supplement with CoQ10 in our Ubiquinol or in the Res-Q Cell Power.
NattoKinase is an enzyme that reverses plaque build up in the arteries. This is will the work of of the Res-Q 1250 in restoring artery health.
Nattokinase is an enzyme derived from "natto", a traditional fermented soy food popular in Japan. During the natto production process B. subtilis natto, a friendly bacteria, ferments boiled soybeans, releasing nattokinase. Best Nattokinase contains pure nattokinase enzyme in a lactose base.
In laymen's terms, nattokinase breaks down the glue that holds aerterial plaque together in allowing a "reversal" of the plaque buildup in the arteries.
Res-Q Resveratrol (Tablets) or Optimal Health Brand Resveratrol (Capsules)
These two products are nearly identical but we offer a special with our house brand.
Resveratrol has been proven in clinical studies to reduce heart disease by working with the
